The tournament will be followed that day with more fundraising for Nancy, also at the country club, featuring a rib dinner, ice cream social and other family-fun activities.
Nancy was first diagnosed with a rare and aggressive metaplastic breast cancer in July 2015.
Nancy, a native of Warren, Minn., and resident of East Grand Forks, Minn., has undergone two surgeries to remove the tumor and completed several rounds of chemotherapy treatments, traveling to and from Chicago for these strong, strategic treatments. She is undergoing radiation treatment at the time of this writing.
Given the financial strain of her medical treatment, Grand Forks Country Club members want to help Nancy and her family maintain her daily routine as much as possible and relieve her of some of her burden.
Nancy is a self-employed accountant whose clients also include Hope Church. She is married to K.C. Koho. They have two children: Kaleb, an East Grand Forks Senior High sophomore, and Abbie, a Riverside Christian School fifth grader.
All are welcome to participate in the Kick’N Out Cancer tournament, which includes 18 holes of golf, a card, an 11 a.m. lunch, 12 noon shotgun start and the 6 p.m. rib dinner.
Golf tournament tickets can be purchased at the Country Club. Early-bird registration is $110 with payment before June 1, and $125 afterward. Call (701) 772-4831 to register for the tournament or to reserve dinner tickets.
Additional tickets for the rib dinner are $20 each for adults, $5 for kids.
The freewill-offering family ice cream social will begin at 7 p.m. The evening activities also include games, photo booth, raffles and life music.
Charitable nonprofit NDAD also is sponsoring fundraising activities for Nancy Koho and has set up a fund to help her. You may donate online to help Nancy on the Community Fundraisers at NDAD.org.
