Artifact history of disability in America now offered online

Check out a new national online exhibit — EveryBody: An Artifact History of Disability in America (http://everybody.si.edu/) — from the Smithsonian’s Natural Museum of American History.

“Many stories and events related to people with disabilities never make it into the history books or shared public memories,” said Katherine Ott, curator of medical science at the National Museum of American History, in a recent Disability Scoop article.

“Knowing this history deepens the understanding of the American experience and reveals how complicated history is.”

There’s a version available at the site in Spanish — en Espanol — as well: http://everybody.si.edu/iniciointroducción
