Daycare provider with cancer: “When I think of the kids is when I get upset.”

Longtime Grand Forks daycare provider Sandy Puttbrese, the focus of a spaghetti feed, bake sale and silent auction benefit Sunday in Oslo, Minn., began the chemotherapy portion of her battle against uterine cancer this week.

“When I think of the kids,” the Grand Forks resident said, “is when I get upset.”
